A Clean Strawberry Festival

"I think they should put a warning label on strawberries: 'Caution: tastes nothing like a strawberry milkshake'." — Ryan Kaplan.

Strawberries are one of my top 5 favorite fruits. Love love. They are sweet, juicy and are often tart and good for you, too. I am totally into making fruit and veggie soaps and so I'm on a kick to see the beauty in all that others from around the world have produced with the fruits of the earth.

Check out the beauty....

LOL! That quote at the top! I shamefully admit that I owned a sweet smelling vanilla soap once and gave it a tiny lick. It didn't taste like vanilla... in fact it was kinda salty. :P

Mmm! Strawberry Rhubarb!

Me too, me too! Oh if I had the money, I'd buy all those soaps just to sniff them all day long! Or maybe I'd buy triples of everything so that I can frame one, use another, and sniff the third. ;)

Ohhh these are lovely .. the Rhubarb and Strawberry and the Kiwi & Strawberry are my favs, they are divine and I sorta want to bite them.

More than sorta.

Yum!

I thought most strawberry based FOs went nuts in soap though.. how can people make these soooo pretty!!!

For soft, radiating skin try not to lick this off of your face!
Strawberry facial:
5-6 Strawberries
1/2 tablespoon heavy Cream or Yogurt
2 teaspoons organic Honey

Mash the strawberries and add the cream and honey. Mix this until you have a smooth and uniform substance

Smooth the paste gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck; keep the eye area clear. Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 20 minutes. Then wash it off with fresh cold water; pat your skin dry with a clean towel

Strawberries are nuero uno for me! Sweet childhood memories of my Aunt Wilma's strawberries, and torturous (just kidding, but only a little) strawberry picking with my sis (Mom & Dad had no problem with "child labor") Thanks for the peek into Strawberry Land, and thanks 'bongs for the recipe!

Do you know I have been in a yahoo group with MaryAnn K almost since I first started making soap (eons ago!) and I don't think I've ever seen her soap! Those soap balls are pretty nifty!

I had a lady at a Christmas market I was selling my wares at once ask me if my gingerbread men soap tasted like gingerbread. My response: "err, no it tastes like soap" but apparently that did not satisfy her curiosity as she promptly took a bite (not a lick!) out of it and than spat it out in plain view of all the other shoppers. Needless to say I sold all the gingerbread men that day due to one lady that just had to try it for herself!!

These look so delicious! My mom said that one of us kids once thought that a glycerin soap looked good and decided to take a bite out of it... these soaps are making me want to do the same thing!
