Gosh Joanna, I feel terrible for you. That is really a pain in the arse that you have to deal with all those bites and itching. I know exactly how you feel about the eye, although mine isn't swollen like yours it was itching like a b**th (sorry for the language, but it itched that badly) last night and I thought I was going to scratch so much I damaged my eye. It got red and painful and then this morning all gunky - and I'm NOT an allergy person but now is back to normal. Maybe something is in the air??? I hope you feel better soon!!!
Hi there, just watched your video and read all this bad luck you've had. Gosh, there are days like that, you wish you stayed in bed, hey??? I hope you feel all fresh, new and vibrant soon... This must have been sooooooo traumatic. Thank you for all the advice and for sharing your experience with us ox Sarah xo
i'm going to light a candle for you....you give so much advice and encouragement..i am sure to many you're considered fam...but, the days will get brighter and you will return to yourself in no time flat!!
I start getting empathy bumps that itch just watching your torment! Good gosh, Jojo..what miserable little buggers have decided to take over your planet and cause so much grief? Sending out some mette to ya to chase them off and make things so much better again. For now, I hope the itchies have passed. Hugs, girl, hugs
blimey, your eye flared right up JoJo. I'd try the Aloe too...see if it helps. Sending good vibes your way toots. You'll be on your way back up in no time x
Oh folks, you are so sweet to me. I share because I think it's important to. Don't do what I do. If you don't have short short hair keep it back (which I do), but get those wispies back-back, because that is what made me itchy in the first place.
Considering another haircut again. Everyone is like, "no no no. Was I that ugly with short hair?
Honesty! If you remember.... I know my ears stick out and are a little crooked, but so are Gennfer Goodwin's ears. And she pulls it off.
Yikes Jo, I'm so sorry you're going through all this. You've been through so much lately ... I hope and pray that you'll feel much better -SOON! ~Becky
Goodness, Jo, I wish I had a magic pill to make you all better in an instant! I so feel for you because I can't deal with itching; I can put up with pain much better than itching. I don't know if calamine lotion or the baking soda paste thing might work for you, but if the tea bag and aloe vera doesn't work, you could try those other 2 things. Oh, and an oatmeal soak in the tub too!
Anything I can do for you or send to you to keep your mind off? x
Have you at least tried benadryl by mouth? It will most likely make you a little tired, but that's better than itchy. Eye allergy drops could help the eye since you most likely are having an allergic reaction. To take away itch, I always rub wet skin with soap and leave it w/o rinsing, especially if you have any made with just lard and no other oils....it's great from itching that isn't near eyes.
So, so sorry to hear this! Are you absolutely sure it's not poison oak/ivy? I've had my eyes swell up in the past from that. Went to senior prom in a similar condition to yours and was nick-named scab face for months!Anywho...feel better soon!
Today is the first time I've come across your blog and I just finished watching your video. OMG, you poor dear, you! I'm a somewhat new soapmaker that will someday start a business making my own products. Watching your video was hard to do, but probably not as hard as the pain and discomfort you have to now deal with. This was one of my biggest fears, an accident like this occurring, that almost kept me from enjoying soapmaking. I pray for your quick recovery. I hope that you are back to yourself 100%. You are so talented and loved. Please, please, please, take good care of you and be well.
