Carmindy Give-Away

I got this very pretty book in the mail today from Hachette Book Group. So I am having a give-away! Five copies are up to win. You have to do two things, though. The first is enter yourself by leaving a comment about any beauty routine you have (ANY!). The second is getting others to come and comment as well and say you sent them. Each time you have someone mention that you sent them, you get an extra two entries towards receiving the book. So, you get one entry for commenting and TWO entries for referring a friend to my blog.

Here is a description in the promo material:

In GET POSITIVELY BEAUTIFUL, makeup artist Carmindy, from TLC’s hit shot What Not to Wear shows you how to change your mindset from negative fault-finding to a positive beauty philosophy. You learn how to find and focus on your best features and how to combat negative thoughts about your appearance. Carmindy demonstrates easy makeup techniques for the eyes, brows, lips, cheeks, and skin, and how to adapt looks to different weather conditions and “beauty moods.” Completely unique, GET POSITIVELY BEAUTIFUL mixes self-help and makeup how-to in this total beauty book.

Give-away ends Monday night at 8pm. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, September 22nd.

Every night I use an oil-free eye makeup remover then wash my face with Cetaphil facial cleanser. Then I apply a nighttime facial moisturizer and then a night eye cream.

My routine starts right away in the morning. I have a large glass of water before I do anything. It seems to keep my stomach full until I'm ready to make my breakfast, that way I don't grab the first thing I see. Also, it keeps me hydrated and keeps my skin clear. Some mornings are harder than others, but this has worked for me for several years.

My most important beauty routine is to always put sunscreen on my face. For the rest of me, if I'm not out during the strongest sun, I don't put sunscreen on those parts so that some of me can synthesize vitamin D. :)

My routine is so basic right now. I just splash water on my face morning and night, and moisturize with the classic ponds face cream. I exfoliate 2 x a week! That's it!

I have the lazy girl's routine. Get my nails done every 3 weeks (pink and whites!), hair colored every 6 weeks, and toss on lip stick and use my body lotion as needed. That's IT!

My routine is very simple. Shower, wash and go! :P I wear very minimal makeup as I'm not a talented artist.

Take eye makeup off with gentle cleaner, wash face with gentle cleanser. Color hair when roots really show, myself. Get enough sleep! Randi Lyn A. sent me this site.

Teresa R sent me here. I wash my face morning and evening with soap and if I remember, I use the Paula's Choice alphahydroxy something something something, and her Blemish Fighting Solution.

p.s. Love your stuff BTW.

I could use some help in the make up department! Not that I even wear it that often = ) Maybe because I'm not much of a make up artist!

My favorite routine starts in the shower w/ some Crush on You and one of my all natural bars. (Plain Jane is amazing) and then when I'm done I use some witch hazel as cleanser and then a dot of moisturizer. Lately its been some of your cream I thought I'd lost ;0)

Every morning I wash my face, use a toner and spf 15 moisturizer, slap on a little makeup (not much since I'm home most of the day) and that's about it.

My routine is moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Living in the desert taught me that!
