Ok, I promised to step it up. This isn't a how-to video, but it's a start. I am unmolding soap and explaining embeds and scents. So I present to you the video:
The black pumpkin is lovely! I have been unable to make a pumpkin soap that didn't go dark tan, so I'm curious how you did that. LOVE the look and thank you for all the info you share!
Joanna - Awesome! Job on your first video. I will be watching all the videos you put out - hurry with the next one!! I have been in awe of your soaps for sometime now.
I thoroghly enjoy your blog & look forward to it coming thru via my feed. & now videos.... aren't we spoilt. I appreciate your every effect. Thankyou!!
wow..it's soap movie night on Blogland :) And you're still in a tank top and it's Nov!!! Lookit all that soap you made, just lovely. Great video, more more!!
This was GREAT, Joanna. Please, do more :) I'm a total novice, and haven't made any soap in about 6 months, but I really want to get back to it. All mine were so simple though, and I long to know how to make the gorgeous, elegant soaps I see here. Can you show us how to do the fancy stuff?
Cool video and your soaps look wonderful. How did you get the white smaller batch so glossy on top? Is there something on top of it, the gloss is great.
Anon: It's not a straight pumpkin, so I think that is why... my other pumpkins are all dark brown. A secret blend, though....
Familygirl: I got it secondhand from another soaper. They are Upland molds...I think they are out of biz now :(
Brooke: Thanks! This is a struggle for me, but I will keep doing them. It's hard to see myself on camera. Maybe I just won't watch them! ;)
Leila: Thank you.
Pat: Thanks, and I am so glad...what you are learning, I'm not sure, but I am glad it's something!
Peta: awwwww!
Natty: Wow, thanks, I am so thrilled that this blog has been a good thing for a lot of people, especially me. I am so lucky to have you!
Cocobong: Yes, more.... soon. Tank top. Well.... it's Florida and I think it was 80 degrees F on that day and the air conditioning was cranking. Also, when I soap/unmold/work in general, my body heats up, so I am usually in t-shirts. I had just moved a large bookcase and I was sweaty.. :P
Erin (naiad): Thanks, honeybaby!
MK: Fancy? Well, I will show you how I make my soap, but it's not fancy. I call it "rustic layers". tee hee.
Carrie (UTW): Agreed. Love a smelly monitor.
Gabi (macsoapy): I am {blushing} humbled....
2blooms: Thx...I made the soap and then just glitterized the top with cosmetic glitter powder.
You're such a natural in front of the camera! I would watch anything you post, and since I've not yet started making soaps, I have no specific requests. Just bring it on, sistah, and I'll sit with a bowl of popcorn and applaud! :)
Thank you, Im so happy I found this blog some time ago...I live in Chile, that's way down South America... I live in the countryside and have been making goat's milk soap for about 7 years now, thank u so much for sharing your knowledge and experience.... Saludos, Alejandra
