Vetiver Sway

Vetiver Lemonade by Pigasus Soap Co.

Shadowlake Soap by Bellingham Soap Company
Ocean Spa by High Street Soap

Vetiver Grey Soap by Osmia Organics

Smoke And Leather Soap by Bath Factory
Raven by Wylde Ivy

Vetiver's scent is earthy, woodsy, complex and reminds me of a forest floor or wet soil. It is strong, yet mellow, but not everyone loves it.

New Soaps: My Porn

I've been very hard at work...creating very specialized soaps with awesome ingredients.  I am proud of all of these.  Not all of them are available yet, just thought I'd give you a peek into what I've been doing lately.

Happy gazing.....

DETOX
additives:  shea butter, adzuki bean, activated bamboo powder, bamboo extract, green tea extract and white kaolin clay.  Scent includes a blend of essential oils: Anise, lavender, grapefruit, tea tree, petitgrain, eucalyptus, and clove.  Bamboo charcoal is naturally detoxifying.

Milken Oats
additives:  shea and cocoa butter, black walnut hulls, wild yam, stinging nettles and white clay with ground oats.

Palm Beach Illustrated 60th
Palm Beach Illustrated Magazine approached us and asked us to create a soap for their 60th Anniversary...so we made a tropical treat that illustrates Palm Beach County, using locally collected ocean water and an abundance of tropical additives.  {My beach scene with shells}

additives: Atlantic Ocean water taken from Palm Beach, coconut milk,
banana and mango fruit extract and topped with pink Himalayan Salt

Orangewood
additives:  shea butter, bentonite clay, orange, sandalwood and tea tree essential oils.

The Sea Bar
Contains natural elements from around the world. This soap is made with pure locally collected Atlantic Ocean water, Pacific Ocean sea salt, Dead Sea Mud from Israel, Irish Moss powder and Atlantic kelp. Dead Sea mud, Kelp and Irish Moss are packed with vitamins and minerals.  Between them, they deliver Vitamins A, B, C, and D, iodine, magnesium, calcium and sodium, which help encourage collagen production, restore moisture levels, firm, revitalize and detoxify.   The scent is a handmade blend of Balsam of Peru, Virginia cedarwood, sandalwood, orange and cocoa absolute in the center.

Sandalwood?

sandalwood

What's your favorite sandalwood oil?

As you know, I am making perfume oils, but I am ALWAYS blending and experimenting with new scents. I've never worked with sandalwood and I'd like to try. I don't want to use just any, either. I want to use a really good one.

Don't tell us which one you use if you just, eh, use one that just does the trick.
If you LOVE one, tell us.

It can be a fragrance oil or an essential oil. I'm just tired of purchasing samples all over the place and being disappointed. Let's put our resources together, for goodness sakes!

Fragrance & Essential Oil Destash!

Most of you are soap makers and bath and body products creators so I put this out to you.  Perhaps it could benefit us all.

I have more oils than I know what to do with and I want more stuff that I DO want to work with so I am thinking that I either want to sell my stuff or trade it with something of equal value that I really want.  I have WAY to much stuff here that will go to waste if I don't move it along.  We all have to pay through our nose to try new things.  I am ready for new things to have!

I received three essential oils from Camden Grey today that I do not like at all and I want to try others because I have grand ideas that I can not start on until I clear out some things.  I am running out of space.  I did not want to offer half empty stuff, so everything listed is either unopened (you can see the black tape on some of them or untaped (they didn't come taped - Camden Grey).

Oh, did you like my hi-tech copy paper back drop and our cool '57 Chevy that bit the dust under some car as my prop?  Also the cute face is my office pen.

For Strange Women

This morning, I stumbled upon Etsy seller, For Strange Women, and I'm so glad I did. What fun it was to peruse her goods. I love the packaging... the containers, the colors and design of the labels. Each photograph in the shop is lit nicely with natural lighting that it was a pleasure to view every product. Tantalizing!

A Shout Out To My Sponsors

If you haven't noticed, I have opened up advertising on this blog due to the economy. (Pssst! To the right) I figure it's a win win situation. Some of you may want business exposure to all of you amazing readers (this is a really special group of folks!) and I could use a little extra pocket change myself.

This month, Supplies By Hello is our Top Sponsor. Daniela Maldonado owns Supplies, Hello Bath & Body Co. and has a blog where she talks about her great looking soaps. I ask you to take a moment to check out our sponsor's links to see if there is something they offer that you might be interested in.

Here is a picture of her gorgeous soaps that I just pulled off of her blog. Simply stunning.

Daniela is very nice and I am eager to try her soap
and her oils!
