Wedding Invitation Cover

This is true.  Brad and I used this series of photographs of us on the cover of our wedding invitations.  Nothing we did for the wedding  was traditional, except for the wedding gown, really.  We were married by a woman and I was walked down the aisle by my mother.

It was a remarkable day.

Both characters then & now. You & Brad were certainly ahead of your time in creative thinking. I LOVE this!

How could Nina possibly think you guys are uncool? You're ultra cool and unconventional!

What a fun idea for a wedding invitation, who needs the standard boring old person invitation?

Love these! And good for you for having the day you wanted. My husband and I had a lot of pressure from his side to get married by a priest, in a church, etc. So on a whim we got married by the mayor in the little park across the street from our house! I have the BEST memories of my wedding day because of our decision to make it ours. :)

PS - I FINALLY ordered some pink grapefuit whipped shea butter. It is on its way to me as I type this!

Being traditional is sooo overrated. When you do things your way, it usually turns out better. You guys look good then and now.

Hope you have many more memories to come. :)

Those are great! Your wedding invites were about you and not about status quo. They are unique and unexpected. I love that you stepped outside the box.

Way cool, Joanna! Although is seems unconventional, it reminds people that the wedding is actually about 2 people who are crazy about one another! Isn't that the most important thing?

It's true. We thought it showed a slice of who we are together. That's why we chose it. We didn't set out to use them, we just came across the photos and had a "AH HA!" moment.

So adorable! I can't imagine you with the ivory invitations! The pics are super cute. I can't imagine having a cookie cutter wedding! I remember going to the Four Seasons in Boston for a reception and there were six couple having their reception at the same time... we walked in on four of them before we found our peeps.

Hello?!

So.... how many years?

Your husband must be one cool dude. I tried to do something with a pic and the hubby refused!!! I have such invite envy!
