New Soaps: My Porn

I've been very hard at work...creating very specialized soaps with awesome ingredients.  I am proud of all of these.  Not all of them are available yet, just thought I'd give you a peek into what I've been doing lately.

Happy gazing.....

DETOX
additives:  shea butter, adzuki bean, activated bamboo powder, bamboo extract, green tea extract and white kaolin clay.  Scent includes a blend of essential oils: Anise, lavender, grapefruit, tea tree, petitgrain, eucalyptus, and clove.  Bamboo charcoal is naturally detoxifying.

Milken Oats
additives:  shea and cocoa butter, black walnut hulls, wild yam, stinging nettles and white clay with ground oats.

Palm Beach Illustrated 60th
Palm Beach Illustrated Magazine approached us and asked us to create a soap for their 60th Anniversary...so we made a tropical treat that illustrates Palm Beach County, using locally collected ocean water and an abundance of tropical additives.  {My beach scene with shells}

additives: Atlantic Ocean water taken from Palm Beach, coconut milk,
banana and mango fruit extract and topped with pink Himalayan Salt

Orangewood
additives:  shea butter, bentonite clay, orange, sandalwood and tea tree essential oils.

The Sea Bar
Contains natural elements from around the world. This soap is made with pure locally collected Atlantic Ocean water, Pacific Ocean sea salt, Dead Sea Mud from Israel, Irish Moss powder and Atlantic kelp. Dead Sea mud, Kelp and Irish Moss are packed with vitamins and minerals.  Between them, they deliver Vitamins A, B, C, and D, iodine, magnesium, calcium and sodium, which help encourage collagen production, restore moisture levels, firm, revitalize and detoxify.   The scent is a handmade blend of Balsam of Peru, Virginia cedarwood, sandalwood, orange and cocoa absolute in the center.

Little Pudge

pudge by CURAT

Curat-Romania/ Curat Clean hit the floor running. Misty Renee Al-Eryani, the proprietor/soap maker/ owner has introduced her soaps with a unique bang and a flair. When I look at her soaps and packaging, I see independence, fun, freedom, creativity and love eeking from every part of Misty's process. I don't know Misty, but I'd guess she's not the quiet and timid type that wouldn't fight for her beliefs. How do I get that from a website? Do you get that, too?

Ok, moving on....

So I was looking at her wall of soaps and a little soap named Pudge popped up and I instantly bought it. I thought it was the name and that it said limited quantities. I had to have Pudge.

Pudge arrives with some other soapy samples. Here's a picture of the sample line up:

Misty thinks they look like a dysfunctional family.

I love the Pudge. First I used it as was intended - as a facial soap, but as I lathered it my hands I noticed it has some light exfoliation, and you KNOW how I love exfoliation in the shower, so I decided to use it in the shower instead. Well! Let me tell you, it was perfect. I have been showering with it exclusively and it doesn't seem to be shrinking. Whatever the scent is, it's super light, because I don't smell much even though is is really pleasant. I think perhaps the oils in there are supposed to be intended to tone the skin and not for being smelly. In the shower, it isn't a rough exfoliant. It has the perfect balance of exfoliation, lather and good soapie qualities.

This is how it says to use it: "Break off pea sized amount and place in the palm of your hand. Work into a small lather with a tad of water, apply to face avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 5 minutes...then rinse with warm water. Finish with a natural toner and moisturize your skin."

Here are the ingredients: "Saponified soy, olive & coconut oils, bananas, pineapple, mango, currant oil, citrus essential oil - avg size 2.0 oz bar lasts 2 months."

I raise my glass to Misty!! Love your soap!
Go check out her online store and blog and tell her I sent you ;)

Help - I Need A Good Facial Bar

As I grow older, my face gets younger. Younger because only teenagers are supposed to have blemished skin! Hormones, I'm sure. Still, clear smooth skin is all I want. I am not thrilled with the idea of wrinkles, but at this point, I'll take them over blemish-ey baby face.

I am looking for a really good complexion soap, handmade, not wildly processed liquid soap marked, "Acne Wash". I just need good bar to do the trick. Any suggestions or cures? If you make a soap like this, let me know. I'd love to check it out.

Love,
The product Junkie that makes body products, but needs a face product. Very convenient! :)
