Buttermilk Porn - Hey... It's Sunday

What is better on a Sunday than buttermilk pancakes? Well, nobody got up and made me any, so I had to hit the road and go looking for some myself! You'd be surprised what I found. They weren't pancakes, sadly, but if they were, I think I'd feel worse because I don't have any in my BELLY.

beeswax and buttermilk soap by Haunt
"sticky, raw beeswax and honey creamed together with rich buttermilk (unscented)"
All of Erin's soaps are absolutely stunning looking!!
Unfortunately, it isn't available on her website right now..

waxworks by Alchemic Muse
"Raw orange blossom & honey and beeswax whipped with creamy buttermilk (unscented)"
I have tried a number of her soaps and they are amazing!

"We use only Extra Virgin Olive Oil blended with sweet churned buttermilk to gently clean and moisturize your skin."
This company is very new to Etsy but their products look pure, simple and lovely. :)

dairy bar goat's milk and buttermilk soap by Castle Company Soaps
"Indulge yourself to a luxurious treat. Gentle, creamy, soft, delightful! Your skin will thank you."
This shop sells only soaps. Most shops sell such a variety these days, but I like to see shops that know what they do well and do that ONLY. It shows dedication and focus. :)

Happy Sunday. Hope you had pancakes. My stomach is rumbling and it's 2:30 and I STILL haven't eaten. Second cup of coffee, water and a bottle of Ensure. Yeah, that's what dumb headaches do to me. Makes me want to hide in my bed and not eat, unless fat fairies brought me buttermilk pancakes with REAL maple syrup...yum yum yum.... :P

Thanks for the buttermilk treat for the eyes, Joanna! I hope your family takes a hint and make you buttermilk pancakes next weekend. :) Mmmm...can't get enough real maple syrup. We need to plant some sugar maples and make our own, but in the meantime, we get ours from our uncle's nephews who have a huge farm. O-M-G...good stuff!

Fat fairies?!? (i'm near hysterics here..:))))
Sympathize with the headache, had one too yesterday as I was stirring a sheep milk soap sans scent. While stirring - Brown Rice Family style - I thought of all the soaps I've made, meandering all the way back to the beginnings of my stirrings. My point here being a buttermilk soap I had made that was and is to this very day the worst of all batches EVER! The ingredients sounded exciting to me (fresh buttermilk, 1 whole, puréed cucumber and finely chopped dill from my garden) but something went awfully wrong in that mélange. I won't describe the 'scent' it emitted - too early for that & I'm only on my first cup of coffee - but it was the first and last batch that landed in the bin ('tho it broke my heart)

LOL coco! too funny. yanno since watching Brown Rice Family I've started stirring not whizzing too! Did it yesterday. Seems to make the whole process a bit more relaxing!
Lovely soaps BTW. Love the top one by Haunt.

These are all gorgeous & yummy, I'm sure. I've never even thought to make soap with buttermilk. Another one of those "some day" soaps. :)

Friggin LOVE Haunt. Absolutely unbelievably gorgeous soaps. Am stumped as to how she gets those drippy swirly pigments in there...

Oh how lovely...all the things that I always thought good for the body now wrapped in a soap. There are so many harsh chemicals at the end of the day in the regular soaps that our skin and the face gets worse...these could be real treats I see.
