I've just sort of found my way. Perhaps it takes WAY too much time and I cut and paste, literally, but people are loving the Asian-inspired look. I buy patterned scrap booking paper from Michael's Arts + Crafts store and each type of soap gets different sets of paper. I'm having a lot of fun with this.
There are so many beautiful ways to wrap soaps: crepe paper, fabric, vellum, banana leaves, raffia string, plastic, gauze, paper, boxes, and some frightening things, too, I am sure.
What have YOU wrapped your soaps in if I haven't mentioned it in my list? I bet we'd all love to hear what you have to say.

ReplyDeleteA great post. Love the soaps and the packaging, it looks very homely and simplistic and elegant. I have my own gift wrap, which I had made up with my logo. It's very nice, but I always want to try other things like raffia, plain manilla paper with string, just string with a lavender bud, or muslin cloth and ribbons...all so nice. What to choose? All of 'em!
I like the nice touch of raffia on yours. I just use scrapbook paper, wrapped around, sealed with a small piece of tape, label over top that side and on the front side a round label with the fragrance. Plain and simple!
ReplyDeleteI am sure after all the soaps you have had sent in for review you have gotten to see about every form of packaging out there which has to be the coolest part of soap review. I think the one you posted looks very classy and upscale for sure!
ReplyDeleteI really haven't tested the waters with fancy wrappings - yours look really neat though! Most of my customers come from the farmer's market and they are looking for functional, inexpensive soap. So, I guess I try to oblige them. Smell-through shrink wrap has definitely been a great investment though!

ReplyDeleteAw, these are so cute! And very unique, too. I use handmade paper as a belly band and seal with my logo sticker. I am thinking about going naked soon *gasp*. At least for offline events.

ReplyDeleteI like your minimalist take on the packaging. I always hated extensive packaging (i.e. cd wrappings, anything ordered off the tv @ 3 a.m. in the 90's) because most of that stuff just ends up curbside and when you multiply that times millions of people...that's alot of trash! So yes, I love your simplicity. Less is more baby!
